Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort charms with its blend of tradition and modernity

Tétris experts have another successful project to their credit. They were responsible for the fit-out of rooms, SPA area, lobbies, reception and restaurant areas of an extraordinary hotel facility in the heart of Karpacz city in Poland.

Inspired by local traditions and Alpine resorts, the Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort blends perfectly with the surrounding nature. It is located in Karpacz with apartments overlooking the three highest peaks of the Karkonosze Mountains: Skalny Stół, Śnieżka, and Kopa – which the name of the facility emphasizes. It consists of six buildings – both new and historic. Q2 Studio prepared the architectural design for the developer Spectrum Development, and the finishing works were entrusted to Tétris.

From Pomerania to the Karkonosze Mountains, this is the map of projects carried out by Tétris on the Polish real estate market. Those implemented in regions remote from major metropolises require solid preparation in managing the logistics of works and the base of proven subcontractors. Tétris experts have such competencies and developed relationships in the industry.

Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort is a unique complex with a luxury SPA, restaurant, and numerous amenities for families and active vacationers. It consists of four new buildings and two historic ones connected by links and elevators. The history of the place dates back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries when Hermann Haase ran two holiday houses here. The restored Villa Haase and Villa Waldesheim house luxurious apartments and a SPA zone. As it is known, projects involving the transformation of existing buildings are a great challenge for architects – and in this case, the task was tackled by Q2 Studio.

We wanted to preserve the traditional spirit of the place and restore both villas according to the art of architecture. The conservator supervised all conducted works. Many details were reconstructed or renovated, like mosaics and wooden elements. As a result, we restored the buildings to their original appearance. The new ones, in turn, were designed to correspond as closely as possible with the historical patterns of the region. The overall concept was to combine the local building tradition with modern solutions that raise the standard of the building – such as the use of large windows.
-Paulina Studnicka, Director of Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort

The building has 124 highly differentiated apartments – the project introduced as many as 37 types, which means a lot of originality and variety for the guests. Each of them has a kitchenette. The fit-out works were conducted on about 7,000 sqm., including rooms and common areas such as the reception, restaurant, and SPA area with an indoor swimming pool. Due to extensive experience in managing projects on this scale, that scope was entrusted to Tétris. The interiors combine raw brick and concrete slabs with warming wallpapers and carpets. The theme of each building is a different winter sport, which is also evident in custom-made wallpaper, installed at 12,000 sqm. in total. Fit-out experts were also responsible for wall painting, bathroom fixtures and fittings, floors, kitchen annexes and coordination of furnishing the interiors with furniture, including built-in wooden closets.

I can confidently say that the challenge on the Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort project was logistics. We are known for our vast network of subcontractors and suppliers, which ensures that our operations run smoothly. However, working in Karpacz was an opportunity for us to reach out to new companies which were just closer and allowed us to maintain good organization. Thanks to this, the list of our subcontractors has expanded, and the project benefited from the local character of the used materials.
-Maciej Targosz, Regional Director in Southern Poland, Tétris

The Tétris team also carried out works in the reception area, the exclusive a la carte Gusto restaurant, and two bars, including a seasonal outdoor one located by the pool, the lobbies, and the SPA area with heated loungers and backlighting.

Such complex projects as Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort required us to be strict about planning, but at the same time flexible. Q2 Studio proposed many interesting details and ideas, which we were lucky to implement. Our team, which was on the site, also provided design consulting services. The interiors enchant with their mountain atmosphere. At the same time, they are very spacious and modern. We appreciate the trust that Spectrum Development put in us by inviting us to this project.
-Justyna Forgiel, Project Manager, Tétris

The fit-out of Tremonti Ski & Bike Resort was another Tétris project in the hospitality area. Previously, the fit-out company had prepared, among others, the interiors of the five-star The Bridge Wroclaw – Mgallery, as well as the prestigious Nobu Hotel in Warsaw.
